Data Analyst
This is an opportunity to contribute to a project supporting a Federal agency by working with the data visualization services (DVS) team that leads the enterprise-wide strategic direction and operational execution of commercial off the shelf (COTS) Business Intelligence (BI) visualization and analytics tools such as Qlik Sense, Microsoft PowerBI, and Tableau.
This role will work within an Agile project team environment. The candidate will be a self-motivated individual and team player with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

The candidate will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to work with other experienced staff to develop and fulfill the DVS mission:
Documentation of organizational standards & best practices
User account administration; grant and remove access for DVS user community within the Qlik Sense environment
Data connection configuration and management
Application management: handle backups of applications, migration of applications, maintain operational documentation
Environment support for applications
Provide Help Desk support
Project planning participation within an Agile/Scrum team environment
Training support for DVS user community
Gather and report metrics
Facilitate live troubleshooting and support for user community
Responsibilities
US citizenship required.
Ability to obtain a security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
1+ years of IT related experience
CompTIA Security+ certification and, if no certification, must obtain certification within 60 days of start date
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Solution architect fundamentals including environment analysis, requirements gathering, solutions blueprint, product analysis, and technical development
Experience in data visualization development (Qlik Sense, Microsoft PowerBI, Tableau)
Experience in scripting languages using Python, PowerShell, or Unix/Linux Shell
Experience in relational database (SQL Server, Oracle) development and administration
Outstanding problem-solving skills in order to tackle the challenges that are presented to the DVS Team's internal help desk
Proven customer service experience and skills demonstrating going above and beyond the customer request
Knowledge of Windows system administration and Identity & Access Management protocols
Experience with software development process including requirements gathering, documentation, source control, and code testing
Develop content to support the team in delivery activities including, but not limited to application standards & best practices, developer guidelines, and training materials for continuous classrooms
Excellent business/technical presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal are required in order to present to, and train various client and developers across the organization
A highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work effectively and flexibly on diverse projects and multi-discipline teams with minimal management
Understanding of Agile methodology and Scrum environments
