Front-End Web Developer
As a Front-end Web Developer, you will be a critical member of a growing team with opportunities to learn and advance your career. This role will be part of an Agile team and will work directly with federal clients to develop high quality products that delight users and address important business needs. The Front-end Web Developer will develop, test and support websites and applications impacting millions of people across the country.
The ideal candidate will engage in every phase of the delivery lifecycle from user story identification, design, development, test, deployment and support. This role will leverage modern open-source development stacks in the cloud to address evolving customer goals and objectives. We are seeking candidates with various levels of development experience to join our team.
Use modern open-source frameworks and related libraries to build customer-facing websites and applications.
Work with designers to turn mockups into responsive web apps.
Write automated tests for front-end app code.
Integrate with REST APIs to post and read data from the front-end.
Work in a DevSecOps and cloud-based Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environment to deliver high quality apps faster.
Collaborate within a cross-functional Agile team through multiple iterations.
Champion the use of Agile principles and practices to build a culture of trust, continuous improvement, and delivery within the team.
Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies.
Ensure compliance with customer and VerticalApps policies & procedures, safety, state, and federal laws, regulations, and standards.
Ability to meet federal contract requirements including suitability or security clearance.
Reside in the Washington DC metro area.
Minimum 3 years web development work experience preferred.
Experience in automated testing.
Proficient in JSON, HTML, CSS/SASS.
Experience using GitHub, Docker, Jenkins (or comparable tools) and deploying to AWS or Azure.
Experience implementing US Web Design Standards and/or Google Material Design.
Experience adhering to Section 508 Accessibility standards desired.
