Join the VerticalApps’ growing Internal Operations team in this pivotal role that’s responsible for identifying and onboarding talented team members!  VerticalApps is seeking an exceptional recruiter with prior experience in the federal contracting market to join our flexible and collaborative team.  The ideal candidate will combine strong sourcing, recruiting, and hiring skills, and will work with leadership to effectively grow teams and support our clients’ needs.


  • Full lifecycle recruiting of talented candidates including sourcing, reviewing applicants, screening, interviewing, conducting reference checks, providing recommended next steps, creating/extending/negotiating offers, etc.
  • Identify and build relationships with top-tier candidates with prior consulting experience
  • Recruit exceptional professionals who deliver superior client-service and possess VerticalApps’ Core Values
  • Build and maintain a candidate pipeline to support existing and future business needs
  • Implement and maintain an applicant tracking system
  • Leverage recruiting resources (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.) to identify, source, and recruit top talent candidates
  • Conduct intake meetings to discuss recruitment strategy and goals for new roles as well as ensuring position descriptions accurately reflect role requirements
  • Ensure adherence to OFCCP requirements
  • Research industry trends, data, and statistics to be more effective at sourcing candidates, communicating roles, anticipating needs, etc.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize and streamline recruiting process
  • Create and improve role descriptions that accurately reflect job duties and business requirements
  • Handle employee referrals with care and collaboration


  • 3+ years of recruiting experience (Federal contracting experience strongly preferred)
  • Understanding of Agile methodology, principles, and roles
  • Understanding of product and software development
  • Positive attitude with enthusiasm, confidence, flexibility, and creativity
  • Professionalism and discretion in interacting with candidates and the VerticalApps team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and organizational habits
  • Passion for recruiting and building relationships with prospective candidates
  • Proven ability to work independently, in a fast-paced, fluid environment
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher)
